The Dip Circle – Blog, Twitter and Photos

The Dip Circle is taking shape…

National Maritime Museum Cornwall have kindly agreed to site The Dip Circle on the exterior of their viewing tower, facing Falmouth town.

Nick Malyon of Neon Neon is constructing the piece and I am writing an interpretation booklet, which will explain the concept behind the work and present some historical archive material from a range of sources.

As well as the initial Arts Council grant funding from Falmouth Art Gallery for the project, the booklet element has also been supported through a grant from Feast, an Arts Council England national portfolio organisation. This has enabled me to use some images from the Royal Museums Greenwich and the Science Museum, to complement the images kindly donated by the Royal Cornwall Polytechnic Society local history and research archive. Information has also been gleaned from the archive at the Bartlett Library in the National Maritime Museum Cornwall.

The Dip Circle has a dedicated blog at http://thedipcircle.wordpress.com/
